With 3D Maps, you can plot geographic and temporal data on a 3D globe or custom map, show it over time, and create visual tours you can share with other people.
3D Maps lets you discover insights you might not see in traditional two-dimensional (2D) tables and charts. Microsoft 3D Maps for Excel is a three-dimensional (3D) data visualization tool that lets you look at information in new ways. You'll find this functionality alongside other visualization features on the Insert tab. We’ve also given this feature a more descriptive name, “3D Maps'.
Note: Power Map, our popular 3-D geospatial visualization add-in for Excel 2013, is now fully integrated into Excel.
